Kairakau Water Supply Upgrade – Detailed Design

Falcon was engaged to complete the detailed electrical design for this critical infrastructure upgrade. The project involved the development of a new water treatment plant incorporating a water softening process (ion exchange or reverse osmosis), UV disinfection, and chlorination systems. Falcon’s design scope included power distribution, equipment selection, automation, and integration of new process equipment such as pumps, flowmeters, dosing systems, and control panels—ensuring the system meets the latest Drinking Water Standards for New Zealand (DWSNZ) and supports long-term operational reliability for the Kairakau community.
